Who I am
I have over 10 years of experience working in higher education as a researcher, data analyst, and faculty member.
In my current role as a Research and Data Solutions Analyst, I use surveys, interviews, focus groups, and secondary data from a variety of sources to understand higher education, student outcomes, inequality, and institutional progress.
Prior to my institutional research career, I was an adjunct professor of Sociology and an inequality researcher at the University of California, Riverside. I taught Introduction to Sociology, Research Methods, and Family Violence.
My scholarly work largely focuses on inequality, crime, and public policy and appears in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence, International Journal for Masculinity Studies, Deviant Behavior, Sociological Quarterly, and Korea Journal. My research has been funded by several organizations, including the National Science Foundation, the Haynes Lindley Foundation, and the Presley Center for Crime and Justice Studies.
With a passion for data-driven decision-making and a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, I strive to bring clarity and solutions to complex challenges.
